So… I got a new toy to play with.
I recently purchased a DJI Mavic Air 2… in 2022. Yes, I know, it isn’t the newest bird in the box. But it is more than sufficient to satisfy my curiosity about drone photography.
I went on a little journey during the Easter School Holidays this year down to Goulburn. Took the drone out for its maiden flight at a family property near Yarra and again at the Pejar Dam.
The sunset photos above and below were taken when I got back home to Warren. I tried to do a 360 Panorama using the inbuilt stitching from DJI’s app. While it did work, exporting it for other platforms is a real pain.
While the 360 pano mode is clearly cool, the videos are crisp and simple to make thanks to how easy the drone is to fly.
The Mavic Air 2 is a fantastic drone that offers a great combination of features and performance. The camera is one of the standout features, boasting 4K resolution and a 3-axis gimbal for smooth and stable footage. The design is also noteworthy, being sleek, portable and well-built. The battery life is also impressive, along with the control range, and the obstacle avoidance feature is a great addition to the overall flight safety. The Mavic Air 2 is a great option for anyone looking for a high-performing drone with excellent camera capabilities.
