Mefoto Roadtrip - Now Mine

As the title suggests, I have upgraded my $30 dinky-die tripod to the Mefoto Roadtrip. First thing I noticed, and loved, was the extremely compact size this thing folds up into. Its teeny weeny! The Mefoto Roadtrip goes from travel to full size in only a few seconds using the twist locks on each leg. These are great as they let me adjust and unlock all sections of each leg... AT THE SAME TIME!!! No more fiddly clasps to fight with, just a flick of the wrist and I am done.

I look forward to taking this thing out this week and shooting with it, just from playing around in the house I have noticed that it is a massive upgrade in stability and build quality.

I did get the aluminium as I cant justify the extra dosh for carbon fibre at this point, but I can say that the Mefoto Roadtrip seems to be a great tripod from initial impressions, and I look forward to putting it through its paces over the coming weeks.

Latest Acquisition

My latest acquisition is the teeny tiny Pentax Q7. I snapped this up for a rock bottom price and it turns out to be one of the most fun things ever invented with a lens. It fits on a key chain and weighs less than a bag of chips. Why everyone doesn't own one is beyond me.
