Inspiration, Education, Production
A change of pace for you readers out there. I have been browsing the web for different photo resources for years. Places that teach me new things, inspire me to try something i had never thought of before or something simply to read and relax too.
I thought I would list some of my favourites here for you in no particular order.
DIY Photography (https://www.diyphotography.net)
DIY Photography is a great place to pick up advice and read about every the latest bit of gear. The thing I like the most, is that it's loaded full tutorials, plus a whole lot of great DIY articles that'll help you build your own gear on the cheap, rather than splashing out on something you don't need, but that you want to try out and see if it's worth picking up later.
iPhone Photography School (https://iphonephotographyschool.com)
So, first things first, I don't actually own an iPhone. So I treat this as more of a mobile photography site. Just because you don't have a Pro DSLR camera, it doesn't mean that you can't take amazing photos. iPhone Photography School aims to help you take better photos with your phone than most people can with a DSLR. This site has plenty of tutorials, as well as articles and regular competitions.
Digital Photography School (https://digital-photography-school.com)
Photographer Darren Rowse is the guy who runs Digital Photography School. This site aims to help photographers get the most out of their cameras. There are plenty of tips on photos, gear and post-processing, all the essentials in one neat little package
issuu (https://issuu.com)
While not technically a photography website, issuu is like a digital magazine store, so I'm including it here. Packed with beautiful photography magazines, it offers heaps of inspiration and education every week. Some of the photo mags I have looked at include Inspirational Photography by Ken Koskela, Teach Yourself Black & White Photography by Skol Watanawongskul and Christopher Grey's, Studio Lighting Techniques for Photography. There are heaps and heaps of different magazines here though, so take the time and check a few out.
